Design Leadership Through Execution
Process, clarity, and momentum over noise.
I bring a design-first mindset to project management; blending creativity, structure, and modern tools to help teams move faster without losing clarity.
Now
I’m a marketing and design leader within the building products arm of a publicly traded company operating at a national scale.
My work sits at the intersection of design, project management, and operational systems. I focus on building the frameworks that make marketing effective and repeatable; not just campaigns, but systems teams can rely on.
- Defining and governing brand standards, patterns, and visual consistency
- Creating and governing large-scale marketing and design asset libraries
- Building calculators, internal apps, and decision tools that simplify complex workflows
- Planning and managing trade shows from concept through execution
- Developing print, packaging, and training processes that scale across teams
I’m deeply familiar with metal components used in and on residential buildings, and I translate technical documents and product literature into clear, usable marketing actionables; bridging engineering reality with sales and customer needs.
I don’t operate in a single lane. My role is about connecting them; aligning people, process, and tools so work moves forward with less friction and better outcomes.
Teach
Much of my career has involved teaching peers and end users; from students and sales teams to creative and technical professionals. I’ve taught in college-level, non-profit, and business-to-business settings, often around complex tools and processes that need to be understood quickly and used correctly. While most of that work lives inside the organizations I’ve supported, I took time a few years ago to design and present a Skillshare course on vehicle wrap design; a beginner-friendly class for sign shop and production designers that also serves as a practical primer on product mockups. At its core, my approach to teaching is simple; I break large ideas into clear, actionable steps that people can actually apply.
Podcasts & Conversations
I’ve been a regular contributor to the pop culture podcast Podcasters Assemble, and I’m the co-host of Epik Fails of History, based on the website and book series of the same name. Unlike my day-to-day work, these conversations lean heavily into storytelling, culture, and the absurd; the kind of space where ideas get explored out loud and bad movies are taken far too seriously on the internet.
Press
I’m frequently consulted on building products and industry topics as part of my work at Gibraltar Industries. Most of my recent press and public-facing work has centered on the roofing and building industry; including contributing articles, podcast appearances, and trade show presentations with outlets like RoofersCoffeeShop. While I’ve done a fair amount of public speaking over the years, my current focus is on sharing practical insight where it’s most useful; in industry conversations tied directly to real products, frameworks, and operations.
Giving
My family and I believe that giving, in any form, is one of the simplest ways to serve others. Below are a few organizations I support; offered as an invitation. Whether you give your time, resources, or attention, I encourage supporting causes around the people, places, and issues that have shaped your life.
